Buffalo Council Passes Third Reading of Wildlife Ordinance

The Buffalo City Council, during their brief meeting Tuesday, passed Ordinance No. 1413 on third reading, which bans the feeding of wildlife in the city limits.
In an earlier interview, Mayor Shane Schrader explained the Ordinance further.
Schrader said there has been a rise in avian flu cases in and around Buffalo, and the birds’ droppings can be hazardous to household pets, so the idea was to restrict the feeding of the birds to try to have fewer birds and fewer problems associated with them in the city.
