State Senator Dave Kinskey (R-Sheridan, Johnson Counties), in his weekly talk with Sheridan Media from the legislative session, discussed the budget saying he is hopeful lawmakers can put away a substantial amount of money into savings.

He also said he doesn’t feel there will be a lot of debate on the budget, which will mean it may get done sooner than later.

Kinskey said both chambers are working on how exactly to save those funds, and how much to put into permanent savings and how much to put into reserve accounts “to tide us over during tough times.”

He said, “Keep your fingers crossed.”
