State Representative Bary Crago (R-Johnson, Sheridan Counties), in his weekly update with Sheridan Media from the legislative session, talked about House Bill 65, the 988 suicide prevention bill, establishing the 988 system for suicide prevention and mental health crises.

Crago said the bill passed out of the House but without the trust fund that was originally proposed to fund the system.

Crago said the bill has moved to the Senate where he believes it will ultimately pass as well, because at this point there is no money amount attached to it.

Crago said he thinks the program is a good one, is needed in the state, and he will support it.

We will have more from this week’s discussion with Representative Barry Crago in upcoming stories.

This hotline is minimal at best those manning it and are clueless to crisis and take too long to answer. Was asked questions that were ridiculous at best then transfered to a website to identify with 12 other genders etc ridiculous!!!
