Buffalo Council OKs Water Tap for New Business

The Buffalo City Council has approved a water tap and will pursue a water users agreement for a new business that will be built east of town in Johnson County.
City Works Director Les Hook told the council at their last meeting that he had been contacted by a civil engineer for Love’s Travel Stops, and explained what the company’s plans are.
Hook explained that the company will bore under Highway 16 to install their water line and run it to their new travel stop on the north side of the highway, which will benefit the city by allowing a redundant water line back to the Greenleaf Subdivision.
There will be no cost to the city associated with the Love’s Travel Stops project.
