State Representative Bary Crago (R-Johnson, Sheridan Counties), in his weekly update with Sheridan Media last week from the legislative session, talked about two bills that moved through the House concerning mental health issues.

The first is HB0065, or 988 suicide prevention.

Another bill concerning mental health issues is HB0034, school finance-mental health services.

Crago said even in Clearmont, Buffalo, or Kaycee there may be times where additional resources outside the schools could be a benefit for the school districts and the communities.

Crago is the same “Republican” that just killed the bill banning mask and vaccine mandates in Wyoming, and literally said it’s none of the legislature’s business and lawmakers shouldn’t be “making political choices about kids’ education” when it came to an amendment to the budget bill that would have defunded gender studies at the University of Wyoming. It’s not about making political choices for the University, Senator Crago. It’s about making budgetary decisions about how my taxes are dispersed in Wyoming. UW can decide what it wants to the extent its board determines, but I don’t have to pay for every wild idea or Marxist fad of the month. It’s called fiscal responsibility, Senator. With “Republicans” like Crago, who needs democrats?
