Kinskey Updates Property Tax Relief Bills

State Senator Dave Kinskey (R-Sheridan, Johnson Counties) talked with Sheridan Media about week two of the current legislative session, focusing on property tax reform, frustration that sparked an electric vehicle bill, and working on the budget.

Kinskey said property tax reform is at the top of everyone’s mind, including lawmakers, who have introduced many bills to address the issue, but he sees that as a potential problem.

There is another piece to this approach that has been brought forward by Kinskey and Biteman that he hopes will move forward.

Kinskey said there is another bill he is not in favor of that is getting a lot of attention, which is an acquisition-based property tax, which is more complicated and will take time to implement.
