Sheridan City Hall will close at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, due to snowfall

The National Weather Service in Billings, MT has issued a Hazardous Weather Conditions for the Sheridan County area. To ensure the safety of city employees, city officials will be closing City Hall at 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, Dec. 13.

The City’s landfill, trash collection and recycling operations have been suspended. If trash collection day has been affected by the storm, please keep your can at the curb and out of the way from snow plows until it has been emptied.  

While the container is out, please ensure it is not buried or obstructed by snow. The Solid Waste Division will exert every effort to empty can(s) as soon as possible. If residents have waste collection questions or need assistance, please call 307-674-8461. 

A Snow Alert has been declared from Thursday, Dec. 15, starting at 10 p.m. to Saturday, Dec. 17, at noon. The City is alerting the public that there is to be no parking on designated snow routes during this time. The City will be removing snow on these routes. 

Should the weather continue, the City will make a decision as to a late opening or closure of City Hall for Wednesday, Dec. 14.  Please check the city website for current information.
