Sheridan College Theatre and Dance Festival Nov. 18
Sheridan College Theatre and Dance programs will present the first Theatre and Dance Festival beginning at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18.
The festival will feature a performance of Pool (No Water), written by Mark Ravenhill by the Sheridan College Theatre program. This play addresses more adult themes, designed to challenge the performing students and those in attendance.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Dr. Lauren Graffin-Estrada told listeners this performance was chosen to prepare her students for more sophisticated performances that will be expected of them in four year institutions as well as challenge and entertain the audience with more adult content by Ravenhill.
Along with the play, Dance Iquail will be featured at the festival.
Sheridan College Dance instructor Stephanie Koltiska told listeners that Dance Iquail is a dance company that was born to not only educate and empower talented dancers and the audience alike, but also to bring positive influence to inner city youth through education and community awareness.
Koltiska has worked with Iquail in the past, and she is excited to see what he will do while inspiring social change through the performance.
