Electronic Message Sign Request Receives Council Approval

A request from Agile Pursuits, LLC for an electronic message center sign at 752 Coffeen Avenue was approved by the Sheridan City Council at its regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday night. The property is home to Coffeen Car Care Center. City Community Development Director Wade Sanner provided details of what was being requested during a public hearing prior to Council’s consideration of the request.

Sanner said the total height of the sign would be 20 feet and that the request needed approval from the Council because it is within 300 feet of a single family residence.

Sanner said the property is zoned B-1 business district and adjacent to the property to the north and south are commercial businesses zoned B-1.  The properties to the west are single-family homes zoned R-3. The nearest EMC sign is located at Mossholders on Coffeen Avenue, which is 350 linear feet from the EMC that was approved by the Council.
