A recent hearing in 4th Judicial District Court that was initially scheduled as a sentencing for a Sheridan man turned into a hearing to determine if he had violated terms of his bond that were set last fall in Sheridan County Circuit Court. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Bond Revoked

A petition to revoke 25-year-old Mason Sundstrom’s bond was filed by the State on April 25 and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest. Sundstrom, at the bond revocation hearing, admitted to violating the terms and conditions of his bond by testing positive for methamphetamine on April 11 at the Sheridan County Justice Office. District Court Judge Darci Phillips revoked Sundstrom’s bond and ordered that a presentence investigation be completed by Probation and Parole. A sentencing hearing for Sundstrom will be rescheduled.

According to court documents, Sundstrom was arrested on October 29, 2021 for attempting to take drugs into the Sheridan County Detention Center. He was charged with taking a controlled substance into jail – methamphetamine, and possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.
