Barrasso: ‘The Department of the Interior Has Done Everything Possible to Shut Down American Oil and Gas’

U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), ranking member of the committee on energy and natural resources, recently delivered remarks at a full committee hearing to examine the president’s budget request for the Department of the Interior for fiscal year 2023. Barrasso said gas prices continue to hit highs across the country and American consumers are suffering significantly.
The hearing also featured testimony from Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland. Barrasso, while addressing Secretary Haaland, said that during this energy crisis, when the department could be opening up abundant American oil and gas reserves, the Department of the Interior has done everything possible to shut them down.
Barrasso said the results are apparent – since President Biden took office, Americans have become much more dependent on foreign sources of energy and we need to find ways to increase, not decrease, production of our nation’s most abundant natural resources.

BS…the rig count has been consistently rising all along. This just more propaganda to distract from facts and reality. There are numerous sources to prove this propaganda is wrong…easy to find on the old inter-web.

I couldn’t agree more Mr. Osborn. I recently drove through the Basin from Ten Sleep to Thermopolis through several oil fields where 100’s of wells are visible from then highway. All of them were shut down, not a single one pumping. Bidens maleficence r Exxon’s greed, what do you think?

Dr you grandstand for political advantage, and ducked the opportunity to stand up for the US Constitution when the capitol was ransacked (despite your oath of office). You know well that Big Oil, your donors, are doing very well exporting US energy products out of the country. Plenty of supply and opportunity to exploit resources here, but your big benefactors do best when price is high. You have no integrity, only act for political games that make the country weaker.

Hey Doc. Have you heard of this little thing called climate change? Or, as some actual scientists are calling it, climate disaster?
But why would you care? You and your cronies are old and are well cushioned from its worst effects.

Im glad you got to meet your constituents in the Ukraine, John. It was interesting that zelensky outlawed the other political parties, and seized there assets while you were there. But that still didnt stop you from voting for the $40 billion Ukraine ‘aid’ package when you got back, and then voting against a similar aid package for small US businesses and restaurants a few hours later. Now youre telling us something that we already know, but will probably never do anything about it as per mitch’s orders. Talk is always the cheapest.

Since Biden doesn’t like gas, perhaps it is time to park Air Force 1 and 2, helicopters, his motorcade, and heat in the White House. This last trip was “let’s get out of town” and cost the taxpayers a fortune. He has to be the worst president since the beginning of time. He definitely has to go.
Thank you Mr. Barrasso for helping our state.

And how about the Great Trump’s almost every week visits to Maridge-O-Lardgo while in Office. I think Biden has a lot of catching up to do. Ehhh?
