One Percent Committee Gives Recommendations to Buffalo Council
The One-Percent Committee has given their recommendations to the Buffalo City Council for allocations of their Optional One-Percent Funds.
Travis Lawrence, with the One-Percent Committee, gave the recommendation to the council at their meeting this week.
Lawrence explained each recommendation, including the request from Sheridan College in Johnson County (SCJC) for $12,500 for rent in the Bomber Mountain Civic Center, for which the committee recommended a different approach.
The council took no action on the recommendations at the meeting, and will review and discuss them before making their final decision on allocations at a future meeting.

We need Tax Relief now more than ever. I recommend lifting the tax burden off the backs of thousands and saving us all millions of dollars, by simply restoring the reasonable 5 percent sales tax. Those who insist on paying high taxes are free to donate to gov’t. But please have some compassion for those of us struggling to make ends meet. Lower taxes are always better.
