STATE WRESTLING – The high school wrestling season in Wyoming has ended and a number of Sheridan county athletes proved they are at or near the top of their weight class, including 1 state champion, Sheridan Media’s Kevin Koile has more.

2-A STATE TOURNAMENT – The Big Horn Rams and both Tongue River teams advanced to this weeks 2-A state basketball tournament which opens in Casper Thursday.

The Lady Eagles open with Wyoming Indian in the first game of the tournament at 9 am.

The Rams open at noon with Rocky Mountain and the Eagles will play the late game Thursday night at 9:00 against Big Piney.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL – The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams swept victories from Casper Kelly Walsh to close out the regular season Friday.

Lady Broncs Head coach Ryan Sullivan says the Lady Broncs had a good night and are playing well.

They open the regional tournament in Cheyenne Thursday afternoon against Cheyenne Central.

The Broncs had a good night Friday against KW, here’s Head coach Jeff Martini.

The Broncs play Kelly again to open the regional tournament.

The 4-A regional opens in Cheyenne Thursday the Broncs lead off at 1:30 against Kelly Walsh the Lady Broncs follow at 3:00 against Central we will have both games live on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

UW BASKETBALL – The Wyoming Cowboys beat Nevada 74-61 Saturday tonight the host San Diego state tip off is at 7:00 on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

The Cowgirls pounded San Diego state 70-46 Saturday their next game is at home Wednesday against Colorado state.

JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks ended their regular season over the weekend hosting the Butte Cobras they dropped both games by scores of 8-0 and 6-2.
