The Junior Hockey Season Opens Friday at the M&M Center / Bronc Football at Cheyenne Central / Big Horn Football at Wheatland and TR will Host Burns

HAWKS JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks open the hockey season Friday and Saturday hosting games with Helena, Montana.

Hawks Head coach Andy Schieb says it was a quick off season and now they have a couple more days to prepare for the season opener.

The Hawks lost several key players from last year’s team that made it all the way to the Frazier cup national final four and Schieb says they worked hard and continue to add players to this year’s roster.

And he says it will be good to get the players some game action this weekend.

BRONC FOOTBALL – The Sheridan Broncs play at Cheyenne Central Friday night we will have the game live for you on KWYO and 106.9 FM the First Federal bank and trust pregame show will start at 5:30 kickoff is at 6:00.

RAMS / EAGLES FOOTBALL – The Big Horn Rams travel to play at Wheatland Friday and the Tongue River Eagles host Burns.

COWBOY FOOTBALL – The Wyoming football Cowboys play at Northern Illinois Saturday.

BRONCO FOOTBALL – The Denver Broncos open the NFL regular season Sunday afternoon at the New York Giants.

VOLLEYBALL – The Lady Bronc volleyball team plays at Kelly Walsh Friday and home to play Cody Saturday.

This week Big Horn high school will host their annual invitational tournament the Tongue River Lady Eagles will play in that event along with the Lady Rams.

GOLF – The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers play in Cheyenne tomorrow and Friday, the state tournament is next week,

SWIMMING / DIVING – The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers will compete in Laramie and Cheyenne Friday and Saturday.

TENNIS – The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams play the Gillette schools Saturday to end their regular season. The conference tournament will be played in Sheridan on the 17th and 18th.

X-COUNTRY – The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country runners compete at an invitational hosted by Wyoming Indian high school, it’s a preview of the state championships which will be run on the same course October 23rd.
