Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey Team did not start the new season the way they wanted to this past weekend.

The team lost both games at Rapid City, by scores of 3-2 and 4-2.

Head Coach J.J. Santagata says the Hawks thought they were ready, and the opposition showed otherwise.

Coach says at this early juncture of the season, Sheridan is trying to figure out which groups of 5 work well together, and the sooner that the players figure that out, the better.

The Hawks play this coming Friday and Saturday at Gillette.

The puck drops both nights at 7:05pm.

University of Wyoming Football: The Wyoming Cowboys will welcome an old rival of sorts to War Memorial Stadium this coming Saturday, and it’s a rival they haven’t played in 15 years.

The Brown and Gold will renew acquaintances with the Utah Utes, a team that used to play in the Mountain West Conference and now play in the Big 12.

The 2 teams last played each other in 2010, and were supposed to play each other in 2020, but that game was rescheduled, due to the COVID outbreak.

Utah is 2-0 and ranked #20 in the AP Poll, and #21 by the Coaches.

UW Head Coach Jay Sawvel says every player is going to have their hands full, but the team needs this type of challenge.

Kickoff this Saturday is scheduled for 6pm.

The Cowboys will visit Salt Lake City sometime in September of 2027.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost last night at the LA Dodgers 7-2.

Hunter Goodman hit a solo home run in the 9th inning, but the Rocks needed a lot more than that.

Colorado will try to avoid being swept, as the team closes out the series against the Dodgers today starting at 8:10pm.

After that, the Rockies will start a 4-game series tomorrow at San Diego.
