It’s the athletes that win the games, events, and championships, but the coaches have something to do with it.
Ryan Sullivan (4A Girls Basketball) and Taylor Kelting (4A Indoor Track and Field) of Sheridan, as well as Amanda Cummins (2A girls Basketball) of Tongue River have been named Coaches of the Year for the Winter 2023-2024 sports season, by the Wyoming Coaches Association.
Sullivan coached the Sheridan Lady Broncs to a 21-6 record and the team won its first state title since 2007.
Kelting coached the Sheridan Boys Indoor Track and Field team to their 5th state title in 6 years.
Cummins coached the Tongue River Lady Eagles to a 24-3 record and the team won its first state title since 2014.
