Sheridan County HS Wrestling: High School wrestling is on the schedule tonight for the Sheridan County teams.

Sheridan will start their 4A East Conference matches with a dual tonight at Thunder Basin.

In the past the Broncs would wait until February before having all of their conference duals.

Head Coach Tyson Shatto says there was some sort of schedule conflict on TB’s part, hence that’s why the dual is today and not next month.

After last week’s competition was canceled due to the bitter cold, the defending 4A state champs are eager to get back on the mat and compete.

Meanwhile Tongue River will host Buffalo in a dual today at 5pm.

Tomorrow and Saturday, Sheridan and TR will compete at a weekend event in Moorcroft.

Sheridan County HS Basketball: Games involving Sheridan County teams will be played either tomorrow and/or Saturday.

Sheridan plays at Campbell County tomorrow beginning at 6pm, and then are at home to play Thunder Basin at 3:30pm.

You can hear the games LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

Saturday’s home games will have a LIVE video stream as well.

You can view it at sheridanmedia.com and on the Sheridan Media Facebook page.

The Tongue River and Big Horn basketball teams both play on Saturday.

TR is at Wright, while BH is at home vs. Sundance.

Arvada-Clearmont plays tomorrow at Upton and return home to take on Hulett on Saturday.

Boys Swimming: There’s been a change to the schedule.

Originally Sheridan was to host Kelly Walsh in a dual meet on Friday, but since KW participated in the make-up meet on Tuesday, Friday’s home competition will not take place.

Instead the Broncs will dual on Friday at Natrona.

Nordic Skiing: The Sheridan Nordic Ski team will be back on the course tomorrow and Saturday at the Pinedale Invitational.

Sheridan County Indoor Track and Field: All 3 Sheridan County Indoor Track and Field teams will compete on Saturday at Gillette.

University of Wyoming Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys are back on the court Saturday at home vs. Nevada, tip off is scheduled for 5:30pm.

Last night the Wyoming Cowgirls had a 13-point lead in the 3rd quarter at New Mexico, but could not hold on, as they would lose 68-61 for their first conference loss of the season.

UW shot only 31% in the second half and was only 3 of 18 from 3-point land.

19 turnovers did not help the cause.

Allyson Fertig had 14 for the Cowgirls, while Malene Pedersen put in 13.

UW is back in action this Saturday as they host the Border War vs. Colorado State.

Tip off is scheduled for 2pm.

Sheridan Hawks Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks have another 2-game homestand this weekend as they host Butte on Friday and Saturday.

The puck drops at 7:30pm both nights.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: For those who have been waiting, we are less than 1 month out from pitchers and catchers reporting for the 2024 Major League Baseball spring season.

For the Colorado Rockies, pitchers and catchers report on February 15th, and the first full squad workout is on February 20th.

The first pre-season game is on February 23rd and the regular season starts on March 28th.
