Troopers and Jets Begin State American Legion Baseball State Tournaments / Rockies Drop a Game at Miami

SHERIDAN AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers open the “AA” American Legion state baseball tournament today in Jackson they open with Rock Springs this afternoon at 1:00 we will have the game live for you on KWYO 14-10 AM and 106.9 FM.

Head coach Austin Cowen told us the tournament field is tough and they know they will have to beat some very good teams is they want a shot at winning the title.

The Sheridan Jets are the host team for the “A” state tournament which opens Wednesday, the Jets will play the late game at 7:00 against Powell.

The Sheridan Cavalry opened the state “B” tournament beating Rock Springs but took two straight losses and were eliminated from the tournament Saturday.

FALL SPORTS – The 2023-24 school sports season is just a couple of weeks away from starting all class 4-A football teams open preseason camp august 7th with all other programs starting a week later.

All junior high and high school athletes must have sports physicals completed before they will be aloud to participate in any preseason workouts.

ROCKIES BASEBALL – The Colorado Rockies dropped a 3-2 ten inning game at Miami Sunday, tonight they open a series at the Washington Nationals game time is 5:05, you can hear the Rockies on Smart Talk 106.3 FM.
