cvannoyThe Clear Creek Rec District in Clearmont held its annual Easter Egg hunt on Saturday, April 8. Due to muddy conditions of the school lawn and track, the event was moved inside the Arvada-Clearmont School and the Rec District buildings.
According to Stephanie Buhr and Amy Rowe of the Rec District, over 3000 plastic eggs were filled with candy and hid in three areas. “We quit counting at 3,000,” Buhr said. The pre-school youngsters picked up their eggs from the gym, the next age group found them in the school halls, and the older children found eggs hidden in the rec district building.
Even a long-haired Corgi puppy named Tucker came to enjoy the event. Owner Samantha Grubb, teacher at AC School, said they brought the pup along to learn to socialize. He seemed to enjoy the attention from the kids. Grubb’s daughter, Livvy, also came to hunt for Easter Eggs. Grubb commented about the Easter Egg hunt.
Karis Prusak, Ulm, came for the first time with her three children, Marshall, Eleanore and Elisete.
Rowe said that 55 youngsters attended the event, and names were put in a basket for drawing for the prizes donated by the Clearmont Community Church.
