Broncs and Lady Broncs Sweep NC / Wrestling Regional Tournaments Open Friday / Track Qualifiers Headed to the “Simplot” Games

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL – The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball took on Natrona county last night and swept both varsity match ups.

The Lady Broncs led by one going into the final quarter and opened the final period with a 10-0 run and that was it as they beat the Fillies 51-43 hitting 9 of 10 free throws to hold them off, Head coach Ryan Sullivan says they a getting great minutes from all the players who have shown a ton of improvement.

Now they have two big games with the Gillette s schools and it all starts Friday night at Campbell county.

The Broncs hammered NC opening up with a 16 point lead at halftime that they stretched to 30 late in the third quarter in their 66-47 win, Head coach Jeff Martini loved the effort.

Now it’s onto Campbell county Friday night.

The games at Campbell Friday night will start with the girls varsity game at 5:30 the boys follow at 7:00 and we will have them live on KWYO 14-10 AM and 106.9 FM.

Saturday they play their final home games of the season against Thunder Basin games times at 4:30 and 6:00.

STATE SWIMMING / DIVING – The Bronc swimmers and divers have their season culminating event this week with the Wyoming state swimming and diving championships set to get underway in Gillette Friday.

REGIONAL WRESTLING TOURNAMENTS – The Bronc wrestlers compete at their regional tournament starting Friday at Cheyenne South.

The Tongue River wrestlers will be at their regional hosted by Southeast high school in Yoder.


TRACK AND FIELD – The Sheridan indoor track teams will compete this week at the “Simplot” games in Pocatello, Idaho, events start Thursday.

JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks will play at the Butte Cobras this weekend and then four straight at home to end the regular season.

COWBOY BASKETBALL – The Wyoming Cowboys play at New Mexico tonight we will have in KWYO 14-10 AM and 106.9 FM pregame at 7:30 with the tip at 8:00.
