On September 17 and September 18 from 9:00 to 1:00 each day. CHAPS Equine Assisted Services, will hold their 3rd hands-on horse driving instruction for beginners & intermediate. The clinic first started in 2019, but was suspended in 2020 due to Covid, and was held again in 2021.
Tracy Shaw, the instruction, will cover singles and teams; other combinations may be covered by request. This clinic is hands-on and interactive, so everyone gets to hold the lines and learn to harness. CHAPS provides the horses and a lunch on Saturday. “Come ready to learn and with lots of questions.” Kristen Marcus, CHAPS executive director said.
She added, “Tracy Shaw is a certified driving instructor who has over 40 years’ experience, and a passion for driving. She has driven nearly every combination, including the 40-horse Coors Hitch.”
The clinic is limited to 20 participants and the cost is $80 per person. Those who are interested must register by noon on Sept. 16, so the organizers will know how many will be eating lunch on Saturday.
