BIG HORN FOOTBALL – The Big Horn Rams football team ended up on the short end of a 28-26 final score in the 2A state championship game against Torrington, but they didn’t go down without a fight.

Some of the big moments in the game, was the rams being unable to convert a (PAT) and a 2-point try, off of their first two touchdowns.

There was also a fumbled punt with less than 20 seconds to go before halftime, which the Trailblazers were able to convert into points.

Torrington’s offense was not only able to wear down the Big Horn defense, they had a greater than 2-to-1 margin in terms of time of possession.

The Rams had the ball for all of 1 minute and 7 seconds in the 4th quarter, but it was enough to score twice, however the clock ran out on them, before they could get one more try.

Head coach Kirk McLaughlin says the Rams faced a much different and better Trailblazer team, compared to when the two first played each other in late September and the Rams did not back down.

Big Horn finishes the season with a record of 9-and-2.
