WYOMING AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL – Wyoming baseball history was made Sunday by the American Legion programs in Gillette and Cheyenne as both teams played for the Northwest regional championship meaning for the first time in the history a Wyoming team will play in the American Legion world series
Cheyenne and Gillette dominated play in the tournament that was played in Gillette.
They played a winner take all game Sunday with Cheyenne coming out with a 7-4 victory and they advance to the world series which begins Thursday in Shelby, North Carolina.
FALL HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS – The new high school sports season starts today with the Sheridan Bronc football team opening fall camp.
Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis will start with practice today as well with two practices and their player / parent meeting at 6:30 pm.
The Sheridan high school golfers meet at 1:00 today at Kendrick golf course, their parent meeting will take place at 4:00.
SHS volleyball, cross country and lady bronc swimming and diving all begin a week from today.
Sheridan high school Activities Director Casey Garnhart the new school year will be celebrated in a couple of weeks when the Sheridan high school booster club hosts the annual fall kick off BBQ with students, coaches, parents and fans.
ROCKIES BASEBALL – The Colorado Rockies beat St. Louis Sunday 1-0 to take two out of three from the Cardinals, tonight they open a series at Milwaukee first pitch is at 6:10 you can hear Rockies baseball on Smart Talk 106.9 FM.
