Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

COWBOY FOOTBALL – The Wyoming Cowboys dropped the Arizona bowl 30-27 in overtime against Ohio university, after the loss Head coach Craig Bohl.

COWBOY HOOPS – The Wyoming basketball Cowboys dropped their home game with New Mexico 76-75, Head coach Jeff Linder pleased with the players effort in the loss.

Next up for the Pokes is a home game Saturday afternoon against San Diego state

JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks dropped both games to the Gillette Wild by scores of 8-4 and 9-1, they are back at home this weekend hosting Cody both games start at 7:30.

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS – The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams begin 2023 Thursday at a three day tournament in Cheyenne.

RAMS / EAGLES HOOPS – The Big Horn and Tongue River basketball teams will restart their seasons on Friday.

WRESTLING – The Sheridan Broncs and Tongue River Eagles will compete at the “Shane Shatto” invitational in Douglas starting Friday.

SWIMMING / DIVING – The Bronc swimmers and divers host a pre-invitational meet Friday and the Sheridan invitational on Saturday.

INDOOR TRACK – The indoor track season begins with practice this week with the first meet set for the 14th in Gillette.
