William Franklin Lowery was born on November 10, 1977, in Fairbanks, Alaska to Franklin Roscoe Lowery and Eileen Marie Lowery.

William grew up in Gillette, Wyoming with his sister Genevieve, and mother Eileen. While living in Gillette, William enjoyed catching bull snakes, skateboarding, and playing frisbee golf. He also loved to go fishing, camping, and spending time with his friends.

William moved to Sheridan, Wyoming, and started his own business “Widen Spectrum and Fine Finishes”. While running his own business William painted new custom homes, churches, and local downtown businesses. William also built and sold custom-made reptile cages to community members.

Williams’s passion for reptiles began as a young boy and became a deep-rooted part of his life and his personality. A natural snake charmer, raising and educating his loved ones and friends about the beauty of all God’s creatures. Will’s knowledge, spirit, and wisdom will be forever in our hearts.

William fathered two children, Marshall and Hudson. He loved his children and taught them the importance of living in nature. Will taught Marshall, his oldest son, how to play the guitar, among many other life skills.

Naturally gifted, William was a musician, artist, and swordsman. He was a connoisseur of antiques and anything vintage that had a piece of history behind it fascinated him.

William Franklin Lowery entered eternal rest on February 14, 2024. Following his father, Franklin Roscoe Lowery.

William is survived by his mother Eileen, sister Genevieve, children; Marshall and Hudson, niece Jurnee, and nephew Vincent, along with many loving friends and family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a private ceremony. In place of flowers, the family requests future donations be made to Champion Funeral Home in Sheridan, Wyoming. I pray that William you are at peace and may now be at rest. I offer prayer, in that at this time your family may be offered comfort by loved ones that draw close to them, and be offered everlasting love and healing through our Lord Christ Jesus. May God grant provisions to those, that in love you provided for before you parted; such as for your partner and children you loved very much, and may at this time may God grant the comfort they need to carry on with you in their hearts… Lord, may you Bless and Keep William’s Family with Peace and Grace, and may Your Face shine upon them and grant them Peace that is everlasting….

I knew Will briefly as a fellow father as he dropped one of his sons off at our place in Sheridan for a birthday party or two. He was friendly but I knew he had a history that wasn’t perfect.
Having to recount the events that led to this finality to my son has been a lesson about compassion in the darkest of times. It is unfortunate that Will got lost and mixed up in a life that has left holes in two families in perpetuity.
I look from a distance at the community that I love and I weep.
