Buffalo Council Amends Budget for Klondike Road Project

Buffalo’s City Council, during their Tuesday meeting, voted to pass Resolution No. 1454, amending their annual appropriation bill for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022.
Mayor Shane Schrader explained the need for the budget amendment.
According to discussions, the original budgeted amount of the project was roughly $275,000 and the amendment will add $175,000 to the amount of the project on the city-owned portion of Klondike Road.
Schrader said the increase in expense was due to do the city opting to do a full-depth reclamation with a cement stabilization on the roadway, as opposed to doing just a simple overlay.
This fixed numerous issues instead of just performing a “band-aid” type of fix.
