State Representative for House District 40 Barry Crago, while speaking during the recent Buffalo City Council meeting, said the direct distribution payments to local state governments is still sitting at $105 million, at least for now.

Councilman Wes Haskins asked Crago about the distribution payments.

Direct Distribution are funds given by the state to county and city governments based on population.

The legislature earmarked $105 million for distribution during the last budget session, and Governor Mark Gordon has recommended $105 million for the current budget.

The legislature will debate the issue and decide whether or not to award the full amount to local governments or change that total amount.
