Sheridan Man Enters Plea in District Court on Strangulation Charge

A 55-year-old Sheridan man entered a not guilty plea to a charge of strangulation of a household member at an arraignment hearing in Fourth Judicial District Court Thursday. Gene McRae was arrested and charged with the alleged crime for an incident that occurred on September 5th in Sheridan County.
District Court Judge John Fenn set the two-day jury trial for April 18 and scheduled a. pretrial conference for March 17 at 9 am. McRae’s bond was continued under the same terms and conditions that were previously set in Circuit Court. The charge of strangulation of a household member is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
