The administrators, educators and students of Tongue River Middle School are inviting the public to an event on Nov. 11, at 2 p.m.
In just two years, TRMS students have spearheaded efforts to raise $250,000 to develop and build a Veterans Memorial Monument erected in the front of their school. The project is scheduled to be completed in the coming days, just in time for a ceremony on Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. in Ranchester at Tongue River Middle School.
This memorial will be officially unveiled during the school’s Tongue River Middle School Veterans Day Assembly. The plan is to hold this assembly outside and everyone is hoping for pleasant weather, according to the Principal of Tongue River Middle School Dr. Jeff Jones.
Should the weather choose not to cooperate, Jones said there will be an alternative plan that will keep all students and community safely distanced.
On the morning of Nov. 11, at 9:10 a.m., the students who worked diligently to achieve this monumental task will be featured on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program to talk about the challenges and rewards of hard work and developing a living monument for veterans.
