Buffalo Mayor Discusses One-Percent Process

Buffalo Mayor Shane Schrader is nearing the end of his first year in office, and he sat down with Sheridan Media to reflect on his accomplishments, and what he feels he needs to continue improving upon.
Mayor Schrader said the deadline for organizations to apply for Optional One-Cent tax funds is January 24th and explained more about where the funds come from and about the award process.
Mayor Schrader said the city has no idea the amount of funding they will have to allocate to outside organizations as yet, but will have a clearer picture in the coming months as they get closer to budget sessions.
He talks about which organizations typically apply for funding.
Those interested in applying for one-percent grant funds can pick up applications at Buffalo’s City Hall or go online at the city or county website and turn in their applications by 5pm on Friday, January 24th.
