BHNF Powder River District: No Increase in Out-of-Area Visitors

John Wallace is currently the acting District Ranger for the Bighorn National Forest’s Powder River District based in Buffalo.

He recently spoke with Sheridan Media about a number of topics concerning the district.

He was asked if the district has seen an increase in the number of visitors from farther away in the state as well as from around the region and the country this summer, as opposed to just local visitors.

Wallace said this year, although still busy, has seen the numbers of users in the district go back down to pre-COVID levels which were higher in 2020.
