A sentencing hearing was held Thursday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan for Nicole Goswick of Cody.  Goswick was arrested and charged with Felony Endangering Children on February 5th in Sheridan County for allegedly having methamphetamine in her purse while in a vehicle with a child present. District Court Judge John Fenn sentenced Goswick to 2 to 5 years in prison and ordered her to pay $325 in various court costs and fees. The sentence was not pursuant to a plea agreement, as a plea deal between the defendant and the State had not been agreed upon.

The 2 to 5 years will run concurrent to a pending sentence in Park County for probation revocation. Goswick was on probation for being convicted of two similar charges in Park County in 2019 when she was arrested in Sheridan County in February. She was sentenced to 2 to 5 years in prison for each of the charges, with both of the sentences suspended in lieu of supervised probation.

I doubt if a man had done this same dirty deed if he would get off as easy as this model citizen did.
