Commission Reaches Decision on Dow-Dutch Creek Road

The Sheridan County Commission, at their Tuesday meeting, removed a motion from the table concerning the vacation of a public right-of-way on County Road #68, or Dow-Dutch Creek Road.

The Commission was scheduled last month to consider the appointment of appraisers in the matter, but County Engineer Ken Muller suggested tabling the matter to allow time for discussion to reach a compromise.

The commission voted down the resolution to appoint appraisers and continue with the vacation of the road easements, then discussed a resolution designating the road as private.

Area landowners attending the meeting applauded the commission’s decision to designate the road as private.
