A fire that is burning in the Big Horn National Forest has reached two areas that were on the fire in the past.
As of 10:30am on Thursday (August 12th), the Crater Ridge fire has burned 2,033 acres and is 30% contained.
The west edge of the fire has reached the Pumpkin Creek burn scar area, which was on fire back in 1970, and the east edge has reached the Little Horn 2 burn scar area, which was on fire back in 2003.
The fire has still not yet crossed Forest Road 11.
Temperatures in the area this weekend are forecasted to be in the middle 70’s.
