I don’t think we can ever determine the exact point of transmission of this variant. On one hand you have people who live here that are opposed to the vaccine, masks, or social distancing and by not doing so made it impossible to contain. On the other hand you have visitors from other places who are of the same mindset and they are all one big happy group. I understand the economy is an issue, that people are afraid of losing work or closing their business, it is a terrible situation. I get that. I also get we don’t seem to care that people with with weakened immune systems , elderly, etc. are more than likely to die if they contract this virus. No arguments for cancer, flu, or other diseases the public feels is comparable. Most of these are not contagious and if they are, not as devastating as Covid and it’s family. People are afraid, yes, who the hell wants to die suffocating. They also don’t want to stay home. They should feel like their fellow humans would not risk behavior that would cause illness to Anyone.
If only we could use reason and quit listening to misinformation, or have such disbelief that this virus is quite serious and currently highly contagious, protect ourselves and others we can somehow contain it. This virus should have never become political but it has and you can blame both sides of the government for that. Be safe, and may God keep you and yours healthy.
