A professional services contract with Burns and McDonnell for the City of Sheridan landfill remediation project was approved by the Sheridan City Council Tuesday night at their regularly scheduled business meeting. City Utilities Director Dan Robert says the City partnered with the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality six years ago.

The City last year entered into a new agreement with the Wyoming DEQ, allowing the City to be the lead on managing the design and construction contracts for the design and construction of the Sheridan Landfill Remediation Project. The professional services contract that was approved was in the amount of $969,617. Roberts says the contract is a not to exceed amount contract and the City’s portion will be a little over $80,000.

Roberts said the process that was followed for consultant selection satisfied City purchasing policies and procedures for soliciting professional services and state statute.
