Aaron PalmerThe upcoming Fourth of July holiday weekend will be fun for most everyone, but Sheridan County Sheriff Allen Thompson and Undersheriff Levi Dominguez wanted to remind people of some potential problems they see every year, and ask that residents to be aware and not do them.
Thompson and Dominguez were recent guests on our talk show Public Pulse, and said even with the extremely dry conditions, and the banning of private fireworks, there will still be the large shows that people are used to seeing every year.
Dominguez said one issue is people lining up to wait for the gates to open to the equestrian center, which is a problem for traffic in the area.
There will be sheriff’s deputies in the equestrian center to make sure people are having fun safely and observing laws and the rules of the center itself, including no personal fireworks.
Dominguez said there will also be an increased presence in Ranchester’s Connor Park for their Fourth of July observances, and increased patrols throughout the county as well.
