U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming joined her colleagues on the Environment and Public Works Committee in voting unanimously to pass a highway funding bill this week. The Surface Transportation Reauthorization Act sets a new funding level at $311 billion for U.S. Department of Transportation programs for highways, roads, and bridges. Senator Lummis said she’s encouraged by the work the Environment and Public Works Committee is doing to get to a bipartisan solution on infrastructure and this bill is a step in the right direction.

The Surface Transportation Reauthorization Act increases highway funding from the last reauthorization in 2015. It provides 90 percent of total highway funding from the Highway Trust Fund through a formula to states, which is essential for rural states like Wyoming to take full advantage of infrastructure funding.  Senator Lummis had two amendments included in the bill, both of which would allow states to modernize certain innovative transportation technologies.

Another “not a patriot”. Despite her oath to support the constitution, this woman tried to discredit a legitimate national election, and voted to disenfranchise the majority of voters in at least one other state – not Wyoming repubs of course. So much for any integrity regarding state’s rights and autonomy. Apparently elections are only OK when agreeing with the chest thumping repubs who want everyone to live according to their version of reality. Apparently the repubs are OK to lose the constitution and democracy and end up with a big boss. And Lummis wouldn’t jeopardize her access to money, power and status by contesting anything the WY repubs yell about. Self serving and not at all a public servant. What a laughing stock our state is to the rest of the nation.

Please educate yourself as to WHY Ms. Lummis challenged the AZ election results, and the previous examples she noted of dems doing the exact same thing.

Thomas – apples and oranges. I know the repubs, just like my kids when they were young and trying to get out of being caught, try to say “but they did A or B or C.” But according to Newsweek, in 2017 when 7 (seven) democrat representatives challenged state votes, “Because no senators signed onto the objections made by House Democrats in 2017, then-Vice President Biden by law denied all of the objections, repeatedly saying “there is no debate.” So you know what integrity means? In 2021, with no proof, “six Republicans in the Senate and 121 in the House backed objections to certifying Arizona’s electoral outcome, while seven Senate Republicans and 138 House Republicans supported an objection to certifying Pennsylvania’s electoral outcome. ” No proof then, no proof now that anything was amiss. In fact, just the opposite. Hard to fathom, but you, and the repubs of our state, believe a sleezy New York City property developer, – with a loooong history of lying – over courts the Attorney General of the US (Barr), and all the state election officials (think Georgia’s unified objection to Big Orange’s demand they “find votes.”) Talk about gullible, Thomas! I’ve got a bridge to sell you!

Interesting…the Biden administrations own bipartisan endorsed funding bill being validated by Lummis for the improvement of transportation infrastructure…hopefully through this federal funding Interstate 80 can be improved…also included in this bill (among several other potential improvements) are “charging stations” for EV vehicles…
