SMH: vaccines available to those 16 years of age or older as visitation opens to pre-COVID status

Sheridan Memorial Hospital leadership has announced the Vaccination Clinic is entering Phase II of the Vaccination Priority List.
According to SMH, the list of people eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine now includes persons age 16 and over. Individuals who are 16 and over are eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine. The Moderna and Johnson and Johnson vaccines are available for individuals over the age of 18.

According to SMH, it is important to schedule the COVID vaccination appointment at least 2 weeks after any other immunizations the patient may have received.
In light of the declining hospitalizations and case numbers of the coronavirus, the hospital is also returning their visitation operations to pre-COVID status.

SMH is still recommending the use of face coverings while in the hospital as well as other CDC guidelines, such as social distancing and good hand sanitation practices.
