The Sheridan Community Land Trust has approached the City of Sheridan about constructing 1.3 miles of soft surface pathways at Malcolm Wallop Park and access to a ramp to the Little Goose River near the concrete chutes downtown. The Sheridan City Council received an update on the two proposed projects at their study session Monday night. License agreements for both projects were presented to the Council and City Public Works Director Lane Thompson said the Land Trust will fully fund both of the proposed projects.

According to the Land Trust, the objective of the downtown boater access project is to allow river recreationists access to downtown establishments. The native surface trail at Malcolm Wallop Park would be a shared use trail designated as easy to moderate to appeal to a variety of abilities and interests. The license agreements will be considered for approval by the Council at an upcoming regularly scheduled business meeting.
