A Raise in Pay

Raising the pay of Sheridan City Council members was a topic that was brought up during the most recent Council meeting. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
Sheridan City Councilman Aaron Linden, during the council comment portion of the meeting, proposed addressing the Council’s salary in the near future.
As far as the last time the Council’s pay was adjusted?
Linden says the pay raise would only apply to newly elected councilors.
When Councilman Linden brought the issue up this week at the Council meeting, he’d requested that the item be placed on the agenda for an upcoming Council work session. Linden is now proposing the issue be tabled until June so the Council can focus on more pressing issues, in particular, collective bargaining with the local firefighters union.

Pay raises for council? How about you guys address the greedy contractors and realtors in Sheridan who are contributing to inflation.
I am appalled at the cost of living in Sheridan. We work for the school district, have no debt, and still can’t afford to live here. There isn’t enough good paying work that is keeping pace with the cost of living to comfortably live here anymore. Good buy normal folks
