Wyoming Department of Corrections COVID-19 Update

As of Tuesday Dec. 15, the number of positive COVID-19 cases (confirmed positives) identified in a 20% surveillance sampling at the Wyoming State Penitentiary conducted last week were eight; two staff and six inmates.

Beginning Monday Dec. 14, 2020 surveillance sampling was conducted at the other WDOC sites and results will be released upon receipt.

Working with the Wyoming Department of Health, all positive inmate cases are medically monitored and managed by the department and the WDOC health care provider, Corizon Health, Inc, in accordance with CDC guidelines. The department continues conducting rigorous surveillance testing at all sites as necessary.
