Senior Services District Meets Monday
The newly-formed Johnson County Senior Citizen Services Special District will have its next meeting Monday in Buffalo.
On the agenda for the meeting is the approve minutes of November 9th meeting; updates on policies and procedures from existing districts and documents required by Department of Revenue; bylaw review; scheduling of meetings; and a time for public comment.
Meetings have been scheduled for the first Monday of each month at the Johnson County Road and Bridge Meeting Room beginning at 4pm.
The district was approved by Johnson County voters in this year’s primary election, and the board was voted in during the general election.
The district will establish a reliable revenue source which will be used to help fund the Buffalo Senior Center and various senior citizen-related programs within the county.
Board members include Dan Gay, Margaret Fraley, Mark Alan Wilson, Kellie Jensen and Cheryl Benner.
