JCHC Gives Update on Latest COVID-19 Information

During the Johnson County COVID-19 Emergency Operations Center weekly briefing, Johnson County Healthcare Center CEO Sean McCallister updated the media on the latest information concerning the facility and how they are dealing with coronavirus cases in the community.

McCallister said the facility had somewhat of a reprieve this week, with the hospital census at 4 in-patients, one of which is COVID positive.

Staffing is currently stable with 9 employees isolating or quarantining.

He spoke about the current projects that are underway.

McCallister said the facility wanted to continue to ask community members do their part to be careful and to stay safe during the holidays.

Also, he wanted to express the facility’s gratitude for the support they have received from the community throughout the pandemic.
