New Senior Service District to Have Meeting Monday
An organizational meeting for the newly formed Johnson County Senior Service District will be happening Monday, November 9th at 4:30pm at the Johnson County Road and Bridge meeting room, according to member-elect Cheryl Benner.
The Senior Service District was approved by Johnson County voters in the primary election in August, and will establish a reliable revenue source which will be used to help fund the Buffalo Senior Center and various senior citizen-related programs within the county.
District board members were chosen during the general election last week, and include Dan Gay, Margaret Fraley, and Mark Alan Wilson for 2-year terms; and Kellie Jensen and Cheryl Benner for 4-year terms.
