Council Approves Sidewalk Snow Removal Resolution

The Sheridan City Council met for their first regularly scheduled meeting of November Monday night. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

The Council approved a resolution that recommends that citizens place snow and ice from the sidewalks into their yards or boulevard areas when possible, instead of moving the snow into the street. City Public Works Director Lane Thompson.

The Council received an update from Sheridan County Travel and Tourism Executive Director Shawn Parker on the WYO Winter Rodeo. Parker said that as of now, the event is still scheduled to take place this upcoming February, adding the plans could change at just about anytime due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Council approved the third and final reading of ordinance 2227, which rezones 11.83 acres of unplatted land from R1-Residence to B-1 Business District, located at 646 East 5th Street.
