Pre-performance costume party canceled

Due to inclement weather, the pre-performance costume contest and party scheduled with the opening of “Into the Woods” at Sheridan’s WYO Theater has been canceled.

The performances of the play are still scheduled, and attendees are encouraged to come in costume if they wish.

The Tony award-winning musical features cast of local performers following storybook characters everyone thought they knew, on a quest to fulfill their wishes and dreams.

The first performance is at 7 p.m. Friday, with additional performances at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Performances also continue next week, at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, seating is limited, and those attending the performances are asked to wear masks. WYO Executive Director Erin Butler said once attendees are in their seats, they can remove the masks.
