A virtual Arraignment Hearing was held Tuesday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan for a man charged with property destruction. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
19-year-old Jonathan Cunningham pleaded “not guilty” to the charge of Felony Property Destruction and Defacement. District Court Judge John Fenn scheduled the four-day jury trial to begin on February 22 of next year, and set the pretrial conference for January 21 at 10:30 am.
According to court documents, Cunningham, on March 16 of this year, was involved in the destruction of property, primarily mailboxes, along Upper Prairie Dog Road, Highway 87, Birdfarm Road, Brinton Road and Beaver Creek Road in Sheridan County. An investigation by the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office revealed there were over 30 victims and over $1,700 in damage that occurred during the alleged crime spree by Cunningham and two other co-defendants. Felony Property Destruction and Defacement is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
