Rural Health May Apply for Additional Relief Funds

The Johnson County Rural Health Board is looking into the possibility of accepting additional money from the Federal government for impacts from the coronavirus pandemic.
The money is additional Provider Relief Funds from the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for financial relief to patient care providers impacted by COVID-19.
During discussions at their meeting this week, the board learned that the application is for those who received a payment under Phase 1 General Distribution to determine if they are eligible for an additional payment.
According to paperwork from the HHS, entities may be eligible for funding if they received a general distribution payment and missed the June 3rd deadline to submit their March and April revenue information, or have not received general distribution payments totaling approximately 2% of their annual revenue.
The board will look further into the possibility of applying for the funding.
