Stults Reflects on Last Graduation as Superintendent

Superintendent Scott Stults, who resigned earlier in the year to embrace a new chapter in his career, attended Sunday’s SHS graduation, which is his last one as superintendent of SCSD#2. In July, he will start his new position with the Wyoming Association of School Administrators as their executive director.

Stults has been superintendent in SCSD#2 for the past five years, stepping into the position after Superintendent Craig Dougherty retired in 2020.

In an interview with Sheridan Media he said that attending the last graduation was ‘bittersweet’ – more bitter than sweet.

He added that he was proud to have been a part of SCSD#2 for the past several years.

He added, “We can’t do it alone, its all done together, knowing full well that together we make great things happen.”

Last May, Stults was named 2026 Wyoming Superintendent of the Year. His last day with SCSD#2 will be June 30, as his new position will start on July 1.
